Akshay Kumar has worked with many directors but he’s aiming at working with a director of substance like Ashutosh Gowarikar now.
The buzz is that Khiladi Kumar recently invited Ashutosh to his home and expressed his wish to work with him.
He also requested Ashutosh to come up with a script that will allow him to show his acting prowess.
The inside word is that Akki is tired of doing comedies and is looking for better scripts and projects to break the monotony. Akshay’s next release would be Nagesh Kukunoor’s long awaited ‘Eight By Ten’ after the debacle of over-hyped ‘Chandni Chowk To China’. He’ll also be doing action movies yet again with movies like ‘Kambakkth Ishq’ and ‘Blue’.
If everything works out, after Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, Gowarikar would be getting a chance to work with someone as different as Akshay Kumar.He’s anyway trying out something new and switching to comedy with ‘Whats Your Raashi’ starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja.
We’ll have to wonder and wait and watch to see if Gowarikar’s next with Akki will ever be able to match up to the standards of ‘Lagaan’ , ‘Swades’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
