the macho actor has added the most powerful gizmo to his kitty of tools – a pen. In an effort to raise environmental awareness among kiddies, the gangly hunk will be donning the writer’s hat for a comic book series.
Joining hands with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the actor will work as the ambassador. The actor has conceptualized a story idea for a children`s comic book that will narrate the story of four students with superpowers who embark upon environmental adventure.
Titled ‘Soldier of Earth’, the comic book is said to be on the lines of ‘Amar Chitra Katha’. Expressing his alacrity to be involved with the project, he said, "Children are our future. It’s very important to teach them about nature, which is irreplaceable."
Talking about his new avatar, the actor said, "I revisited my Chacha Choudhary and Saboo days".
What’s more is that the actor is making sure that his involvement with the project goes beyond the grass root level. He will also spearhead ground activities in which he will travel to different schools across India and set up student groups, who would work towards keeping their home, school and locality clean.
Looks like Akki just gave India its first eco-friendly superhero.
